In the UK the LGBT+ community has had same sex Civil Partnership since 2004, and access to marriage since 2013, but how certain can you be that the service you want will respect your sexuality and choice of partner? Mo Cooper has been active in the LGBT+ community for over 30 years. She lives with her long term partner, Joan, and they co-created their Civil Partnership ceremony ten years ago, which included using past gifts as tokens of their love, rather than giving traditional rings.
As the LGBT+ Community increase their visibility and rights - including the rights of those who identify as non binary or trans folk - it is important that services respond to individual needs and identity. Amethyst Celebrant Services promise to respect your identity and your choices, whether this be for a celebration of a partnership, or a naming ceremony. "We will remember how much you contributed to our wonderful day forever, and we will be forever thankful" (Elizabeth and Catherine)
