Earth based spirituality provides a framework for women’s - and men’s - time on this earth, with women's time often related as three faces of the Goddess:
The Maiden - In the past this would relate to a girl past puberty but before having her own children. Today this would be interpreted as a girl or woman who hasn’t settled down either with a partner, a home or a career.
The Mother – In the past this covered the woman in her role of nurturing children. Today women have more freedom in their role so it may relate to childrearing but also career or artistic endeavours.
The Crone – Historically honoured as ‘the wise woman’, the grandmother who is respected and supports her community. Today older women do not always have that respect and can feel invisible in the world.
The Priestess - And now there is a forth face, reflecting modern day life cycles and a growing movement. The priestess is the woman moving away from childrearing, often entering the menopause and at the height of her transformational power.

Review A 70th birthday blessing on the hills of Hathersage, July 2019 I found working with Mo a really good experience. I wasn't at all clear what I wanted at the beginning, and the preparatory discussion was very helpful in clearing my intentions. Throughout I felt I was in good hands - very practical about outdoor work, which is good to do but presents problems with weather and fire safety. She left me plenty to do on my own, which I wanted, but I was always clear what I needed to get done as well as having scope for fresh ideas. It has been a very productive experience with good after-effects! Liz
